GoldenRest's Hi-Low Deluxe bed gives you a complete adjustable bed with an additional feature, the ability to raise the entire bed vertically almost 12 inches. Vertical adjustment means that it is easier to get out of bed in the morning or transfer into a wheelchair by lowering the entire bed. Should you need assistance from a caregiver you can make their job easier by raising the entire bed. The 12 inches offered by the Deluxe is 7 more inches than available on the Basic version and can greatly ease transfers. In addition, at its lowest setting, the top of the Deluxe mattress is only 18 inches from the ground.
The Hi-Low Deluxe comes with an orthopedic mattress that offers great support, motors with thermal overload protection, and an optional battery backup and massage system.

This bed works perfectly for my mom who is striving to continue her independence while being in a wheelchair for now over 10 years. She has figured out exactly how to use the bed to make her transfers easily and the fully adjustable functions allow her to position herself to ease pressure on her back and has helped with her incontinence considerations. The hand rails however are not smooth in shifting from the down to up position, and if you get a short bed (so that you can use standard sheets) the rails extend beyond the head of the bed, requiring you to put the bed further away from the wall.
