Made with pure metallic silver, bonded to the surface of the nylon substrate
This bonding prevents the shedding (dumping) of metallic silver or silver fibers into the wound bed
The nylon substrate is highly conformable to wound contours and comfortable to patients
In the presence of moisture, Silverlon(r) generates new silver ions (bactericidal) right at the wound site, unlike impregnated dressings where the silver ions are trapped within the dressing
