A Happy U.S. Medical Customer

Joyce on her AmeriGlide Traveler
It was easy to put together, couldn't get it to go right off but found the reset button on the batteries, pushed it and that fixed it  The battery was fully charged but we put it on the charger for a few hours.  I rode it for two hours yesterday around the block and it did fine.  The battery charge indicator shows the batteries are still full so the batteries are going to have a good run life.

Thanks -  Carly and Joyce Carson

Great, until I took it on a trip

A Little About Myself
I'm a 65 year-old Vietnam Vet., with 100% disability.
Pros
Got it in four days, easy to put together and it rides nice.
Cons
I was on my vacation at a Mississippi State Park. I road my scooter to a place about a mile and a half up the road to buy worms to fish and rode it back to my RV. I got my fishing gear and started to ride it down a cement sidewalk and got on about 30 feet when it stopped on me. It would not move no matter what I did. This sucks since I am away from home on my vacation.
Service & Delivery
Delivery was great, but the service not so much.
I have not been able to go on a real vacation in over 15 years and was looking forward to this vacation. I have trouble walking more that a hundred yards or so and needed this scooter when I get to Washington DC. As a Vietnam Vet, I wanted very much to pay my respect to seven men who were killed when I was stationed at An Khe, Vietnam. It was there when the Tet Offensive started and my area had been overun by VC. A group of about 25 Army soldiers swam the An Khe River and turn what would have been a bloodbath with me providing the blood into a defeat for the VC. After it was over, seven brave men died to save me and I wanted to pay my respects to them at the Vietnam Memorial Wall at the Arlington Military Cemetary. Now, I don't know what I will do if I can't find a place to fix it. Yes, they say that you have free one year in-home repair service, but if you have need of service while on your vacation, you have to pay for it out of pocket that is if you can find someone to work on it and if I need another battery, I will have to pay the $150 dollars to replace it. So, if I were to purchase another scooter, it would not be the AmeriGlide's Traveler. I am very disappointed with it because it ruined my vacation to honor these fallen heroes.

Pros
I can get around nicely with the AmeriGlide Traveler.
Cons
I need someone to give me a push up the ramp...it needs a little bit more power!!
Service & Delivery
Service and delivery was very good.
I have not left the house due to my surgery. I have plans on using this mobility scooter, other than inside our home.

A Little About Myself
Mother of a 13 year-old, handicapped son.
Pros
Perfect size and speed, easy to handle.
Cons
None
Service & Delivery
We received it within a week with standard shipping. No problems.
My handicapped son cannot ride a bicycle and has become to big for the electric toy riders. This mobility scooter looks like a scooter, not a wheelchair. It's perfect. My son rides it all the time, visiting everyone. He loves it!

59 and disabled. I've been grounded for 3 years...
Pros
It is a wonderful product in every way. Fast, easy to transport, long battery life, and stable as can be.
Cons
None so far.
Service & Delivery
Fast and convenient.
Glad to have this great ride. I have been grounded for 3 years except for Wal-mart and their public scooters. I haven't found them anyplace else, I like to shop at Kohl's, Christmas Tree Shop, Home Goods etc. Now I'm on the road again and shopping...shopping...shopping. And I look GOOD doing it too! LOL

A Little About Myself
Pros
Quite comfortable. Not too fast, but not too slow....just right on the multiple speeds.
Cons
Sits a little too close to the ground for some of our deteriorating sidewalks. Desperately needs a headlight of some kind for night trips to the store or to pick up a pizza.
Service & Delivery
Delivery was very slow, if it came out of Las Vegas as they said it would. Finally got here and was very easy to assemble.
Great as my first travel scooter. I can go to the drug store, the 99 Cents Store, or even the grocery store on it. Would work fine in the house, but that's not what I needed it for right now. As my first scooter it is just the ticket, that I need. I got the large bag to carry my purchases in. Now I can go with my roommate to walk the dog. I look forward to being able to take it with me on vacation, to the museum, etc.

A Little About Myself
Pros
Folds for travel, light weight, very maneuverable, high quality product, and mainly it has a great price!
Cons
It would be nice if the battery connection was easier to manipulate.
Service & Delivery
Great service & good delivery time.
This is a great little mobility scooter. You can get around easily in narrow store aisles and the range is perfect for a long shopping trip. I traveled across country and was able to ride it right up to the door of the plane at which point they put it in the cargo hold and it was waiting for me when we landed. I liked it so much, I purchased one for my mother as well, and she loves it.
