The Celebrity X is a luxury scooter model built by Pride Mobility. Redesigned after extensive customer feedback, it sets a new mark for scooters that effectively blend technology, style, and convenience. The Celebrity X is a scooter you will look forward to using every day.
The Celebrity X comes with a delta tiller that put you in total control of your scooter as you move along at speeds up to 6 mph. The lights have been upgraded to LED lights that are bright and last considerably longer than standard filament lights. A tiller rotation lock has been added as well. This lets you use the tiller as a handle when you transport your Celebrity X. And is transport ever easy with the auto-latching lockup that lets you disassemble your Celebrity X in seconds.

My wife is the user of this scooter, I, her husband, am the caregiver. We have an older model of this same scooter which is much more user friendly than this one. (1)The curve at the top of the tiller is a serious impediment for a handy capped person to get onto the seat. (2) The tiller tilt mechanism is useless to a handicapped person. The big knob that secures it is impossible to actuate with weak hands. (3)At normal speeds you have to be very aware of quick jerky starts. This could be a safety factor. (4) The holes in handle bar brackets, which are used to secure the handles to the seats, are a different size than the holes that they line up with, therefore the supplied locking pin will not fit. (5) Instructions for mounting the over sized basket are so poor they could be considered useless. My wife did not like the big basket, to wide, to deep, but mostly to narrow. I took it off and put another basket on it. In spite of these faults I would still give this scooter A-minus rating when compared to other mobility scooters.

My parents now have a scooter each. This one we bought for a gift. They use them when there is a lot of walking involved in places such as parking lots, malls, entertainment places, etc. One has a bad knee the other has lung trouble. Scooters give them great mobility. |
