A Little About Myself

Pros

Comfort, ease of setup,Quiet opperation

Cons

None so Far

Service & Delivery

Great delivery driver. He set the boxed chair inside my front door 10 feet from where it was going to set. A really nice guy!
Recently had surgery and was set to have another surgery in six weeks Needed a lift chair quickly due to having my knee immobilized for a few more months. I couldn't sit in my lounge chair because i couldn't get out of it. Basically I was stuck in bed. My wife had ordered two lift chairs and canceled both orders Due to wait time. That was until I talked to Travis at US medical. Travis worked with me to fit me in a chair. He also stated the chair would ship in a few days. Hearing this before from other suppliers I was not real hopeful I would get a lift chair any time soon. I received a ship email the next morning from an independent carrier. My chair was sitting in my family room in 4 days. Chair is very nice and makes my recovery so much easier. The value of my lift chair is priceless. Thank you Travis from US medical you took the time to make my chair fit me. Most of all, you kept your word. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Broke 2 days after delivery and no one seems to care
Mar 31, 2015 7:21 PM

A Little About Myself

I am the caregiver for a stroke victim who has severe hip arthritis

Pros

Can't tell - it broke quickly

Cons

Process to get chair looked at takes too long. Service man is too busy to get there

Service & Delivery

As stated above Delivery is drop it off and leave - no verification chair is working right. So far, Service is horrible since I did not hear from anyone for more than 24 hours after I reported a new chair that was not as sold
The chair was delivered on time as promised, but its delivered by a trucking firm and they just drop it off. It worked on Saturday when we tested it but on Saturday night it broke so much that it could not be used. It appeared that the top came out of the left position clip. We were able to put it back on but it looks bent. Called place I bought it on Monday morning early, finally got a call Tuesday night at 7 to say maybe the service man can look at it Thursday afternoon. Horrible Horrible. I would not buy this again.
USM replies:

Very sorry that there was an issue with your chair. This is a very rare occurrence, as this is one of Pride's most popular chairs. We know that having an unusable recliner in the living room is a huge nuisance, especially when needing to rely upon it for mobility. It sounds like the service technician should be there tomorrow to fix the problem.

You're correct about the free curbside delivery. To have a delivery person come into your home and set the chair up, it is an extra charge and done by a lift chair professional. If setup is needed, it is advised to pay for one of the extra delivery options available.

My Second chair
Aug 15, 2013 10:50 AM

A Little About Myself

Many health problems

Pros

GREAT CHAIRS. This is the second one I have ordered in the last two months. The first one was for my wife, she loves it. This one is for me. It fits me like a glove and I'm 6,2. I went with the Pride brand because for the last 25 years I have used pride scooters. The first one lasted 18 years and the second one is still going strong. Living in Montana they get well used in extreme conditions. These chairs seem to be built as tough as their other products.

Cons

Haven't found any.

Service & Delivery

Very fast delivery.
I have always felt that if you find a quality product that it pays to stay with that company. Thanks Pride, it's nice to still be able to find quality products at a nice price. And a big THANK YOU to US Medical for making it so easy to order and receive the products you sell.

My review of the Pride GL-358L lift recliner
Jul 29, 2013 7:46 PM

A Little About Myself

I am Retired. I am 5' 11" and a big size person and have knee problems.

Pros

The chair works great, and is stable. It lifts me without a hitch.

Cons

Only exception is the control. It takes a while to shut itself off. The seat seems short from front to back.

Service & Delivery

Justin at U.S. Medical was helpful and knowledgeable. The Fed Ex guy was great he helped me bring the chair into the house and pull it out of the box.
I will give the control at least two weeks to correct itself before I call in.

A Little About Myself

90 year old man

Pros

soft, comfortable, ease of getting in and out

Cons

I can't think of any

Service & Delivery

It was no problem - they brought it up to the house and my daughter was able to put it together. I was sitting in it about 30 minutes it was delievered.
Made my life so much easier - the chair is comfortable and it is so much easier for me to get out of the chair. I also love the footrest. The material is also very soft and very comfortable.

A Little About Myself

75 yr old handicapped veteran, doesn't walk except to transfer from chair/bed to wheelchair.

Pros

All of the written material above is true and accurate. It is a beautiful chair. This is the second one we have purchased of this model except the first was vinyl.

Cons

Back of chair is far too short. I am 6' tall and the top of my shoulders, neck and head have no support to nap. The former model I had was higher and fantastic.

Service & Delivery

Fantastic! They stated possible 8-10 days. It was delivered in 2 and that was because the day 1 was a holiday. We only live approx. 8 miles from the warehouse so it was easy for them other than the truck was super huge and he could not get down our road and had to hand truck down the road quite a distance. Trouble is my wife (71 yrs old) had to handle it by herself to get it across a double carport where he dumped the carton, up a 28' ramp, onto approx 12' of deck and porch, into the kitchen and across about 27' to get it into the living room, uncrate it and then set it up to work. We have no one to help her so it was a problem as the carton weighed as much as she does.
Don't they offer a higher back for us tall folks? It is the XL model which is increased for just about everything else.
