I had held off from buying a lift chair for a very long time, but finally realized that without one I was really straining to get myself up from an admittedly very comfortable, but low chair in the family room. After researching chairs online it appeared to me that the two major brands, Pride and Golden, both seemed to fit the bill for a lift chair, but that the Pride line seemed to have been more sturdily built with hardwoods, etc. So, I ordered this LL575, and found it to be extremely comfortable and easy to get in and out of using the hand-held control. One thing I do want to mention, though, and that has nothing to do with the quality of the chair....but it's important to those with pets in the house. In our home we have two cats, who immediately were intensely curious about the chair and it's "hidden" recesses. So, a word to those with pets...be extremely careful to make sure the pet(s) are not hidden under the chair when operating the mechanism. This could be very hazardous to the pet. Once the cat got used to the chair, it ignored it, but be aware this may take some time. That being said, I do recommend this chair because of the high quality ,the speed in which it was shipped, and the professionalism of the installer. It was a good purchase all around.

I bought this chair for my dad who is 88 years old. It is very stable. His old recliner would side when he tried to get out of it. The ultra leather is fantastic.

Prior to hip surgery, getting in and out of my old recliner was nearly impossible. With the "LIFT CHAIR" getting up and down are a breeze.

I am 6' 1" tall, and weigh about 275lbs. The chair is bigger than I really need. However, because it is so tall, it makes getting up so much easier than from my old recliner. The back of the chair is so high that it must be kept 27 inches from the wall to fully recline. Although not uncomfortable, the upholstery is much harder and less comfortable than on my old memory foam recliner and I have difficulty finding a comfortable position to sleep or sit in.
I wonder if a slightly smaller chair would be more comfortable.
