In life you often have to make difficult decisions because there just aren't any good options. One of these decisions comes when you realize you may have to sell your home because it is too hard to get up and down the stairs anymore. What other options do you have? Is there anything you can afford? At last you have an alternative with a stair lift from AmeriGlide.
Install a stair lift from AmeriGlide and you never have to worry about getting up and the down the stairs in your home again. Sit down in the swivel seat, put your feet on the footrest, and press the button. You will be gently moved along your stairs until you reach the top. The reverse is just as easy. With a stair lift from AmeriGlide you will not have to leave the place you've worked so hard to create, your home.
This is why we feel an AmeriGlide stair lift is worthy of being installed in your home:
1. AmeriGlide stair lifts are strong: Aircraft strength cables and high strength aluminum track give you a stair lift with a capacity of 300 pounds.
2. AmeriGlide stair lifts are reliable: The motor and gears have been tested for the equivalent of 16 years and showed only minimal wear and tear. We back them up with an industry leading 10 year drive train warranty and 5 year parts warranty.
3. AmeriGlide stair lifts are safe: We know our stair lifts are for carrying people, so we've added plenty of safety features such as a footrest sensor, a seat belt lock, end of track limiters, slack cable sensors, and a motor with instant reverse capability. In addition, this model carries the ETL safety seal and meets ASME A17.1 and A18 requirements.
The AmeriGlide AC Powered stair lift plugs into your household outlet for power. An AC unit is ideal in situations where the stair lift will be used very frequently throughout the day and in areas with reliable power.

| Service & Delivery | I have not needed service yet, but the delivery was great. All 6 boxes arrived when expected. |
| I love my new mobility. I no longer fear being unable to get out of the house when I'm alone. I can do it now! | |

| A Little About Myself | retired |
| Pros | fast delivery easy to install well constructed |
| Cons | the magnetic control is very poor. It should be built into the arm of the chair. tthe seat extends too far out when folded mmaking it hard to walk up stairs |
| Over all we are pleased with the unit. We have a door at the bottom of the stairs so the tract can not extend as much as it should. It would be good to have a retractable section that could be lifted up to close the door and lowered whe the chair is in use | |

| A Little About Myself | Son and Installer |
| Pros | Stores Easily, Functional, Safe, Easy to Install |
| Cons | |
| My mom loves her chair. She was going to sell her house with great misgivings, but for a very reasonable cost she can get up and down the stairs with ease. She used to call my brother when she got home with groceries so he could haul them all upstairs for her. After we installed the chair(it has the optional grocery basket) she did it all herself and was very pleased. All of her friends use it too when they come over. Now she is very happy and can remain in the house she loves so much. Great product. Thank you. I must add this though-my brother and I are very accomplished do it yourselfers and it took us at least 3.5-4 hrs to install. It does come with everything you need though. | |

| A Little About Myself | For parents |
| Pros | Safe, Easy to Install, Strong Support, Functional |
| Cons | |
| I do not know how we would have handled getting my parents to their vehicle in the basement with out the lift. It was bought for one parent, but the other had a fall and both have needed it since the purchase app one year ago. It has allowed them to be able to get to their vehicle and drive in bad weather. Neither of them can safely climb stairs any more. I feel it was reasonably priced, and certainly fullfils their needs. It allows them to get to their vehicle and travel without help. I cannot brag enough about the usefullness of the stair lift. Thanks for your help in explaining the installation process. | |

| Pros | Strong Support, Easy to Install, Stores Easily, Functional, Safe |
| Cons | |
| With Gout and Diabetes, and after losing a big toe to the disease, using the stairs to my condo became more and more difficult - until the Chair Lift was installed by my friend. Now I zip up and down with ease. I recommend the Chair Lift to anyone having movement problems and I want to alert caregivers to its clear advantages. | |

| I was able to order the unit easily over the phone. [...] We are using the stair lift between the main living area and the bedrooms. At first my Mom was afraid of it, and that it wouldn't be secure. Now she tells me she is addicted! She never worries about getting up or down the stairs, and I know she is safer. | |

| A Little About Myself | Caregiver |
| Pros | Safe, Easy to Install, Functional |
| Cons | Difficult to lubricate |
| The unit was easy to install, although it took closer to 6 hours rather than the 2-3 hours mentioned in the literature. It is also very difficult to apply the grease to only the sidewalls of the channel and not the bottom. It is easy for my mother to operate. | |

| Pros | Functional, Great, Stores Easily, Easy to Install, Strong Support, Safe |
| Cons | |
| Could of used a 90 degree Molex connector because the landing wall was 3/4 in. out, too close to in-stall the power cord. Modified the crank with a pipe cap and 1/4 in, bolt to be driven with a cordless drill. Beats the hell out of hand power. All and all it is the best thing I ever did for my ailing wife. PS. I forgot to set the stop. | |

| A Little About Myself | Caregiver |
| Pros | Functional, Safe |
| Cons | Difficult to Install |
| The wiring was incomplete upon arrival - my carpenter spent a lengthy time with customer support to connect wires not connected at the factory. The chair control cable is very long, and got caught in the chain. A retractable cord would solve the problem My stair is very narrow, and the lift inpedes stretcher evac - the fire dept about murdered the assembly. A quick release mechanism on the box to rail would be a great feature. A handle to lower the foot rest, located around the area, would do wonders for entering and exiting the lift. Overall, its a good product and makes my house more accessible for a 79 year old with a walker | |

| A Little About Myself | |
| Pros | Easy To Install, Great in a tight space, Easy to use |
| Cons | |
| We have been very happy with the stair lift. My father in law was having trouble with the stairs- he was sort of against buying the lift - worried about cost, space, ease of use- and necessity. He had not really admitted to his physical decline- and was sure things had reached a stable state. But once my husband installed the chair- he uses it everyday and states that he didn't realize how exhaused he was after using the stairs and now he has more energy to complete things that he wants to do- The lift itself is narrow enough for a slim set of stairs in a little split level house. With the seat up, it is easy to walk up the stairs past the chair. The lever to operate the chair is large and easy to find and use. We are very happy with the product and now know what we'll buy when MY parents need one. I am just happy that I know that he is safer in that chair than trying to negiotiate the steps- it is solid and feels secure and safe. And the grandkids love to ride it! | |
