An AmeriGlide Rubex Stair Lift takes the worry out using the stairs in your home. Like other stair lifts a AmeriGlide uses a motorized chair to safely guide you up and down your staircase, but that is where the similarities end. All AmeriGlide lifts are ETL listed. In addition, they meet ASME A17.1 and A18 code requirements.
AmeriGlide has taken no shortcuts in building their stair lifts. An AmeriGlide stair lift is built safe, built to last, and very easy to maintain. AmeriGlide stair lifts use a winding-drum drive system that employs a high-strength cable and 8 rollers to provide a smooth, safe ride for individuals up to 350 pounds. Maintenance is limited to light lubrication of the track about twice a year.
AmeriGlide stair lifts come standard with remote call-send controls, constant pressure controls on the seat, limit switches, and footrest safety sensors standard. You remain safe and in control at all times when you ride an AmeriGlide.
The AmeriGlide DC Rubex is powered by a battery that gives you power even in a blackout. The batteries are recharged by standard household AC power, no special wiring is needed.

| Dori from Spokane Washington would recommend this to a friend. | |
| A Little About Myself | |
| Pros |
It is easy to fit, and the sales rep made measuring it a breeze. It provided peace of mind, my friend is so excited that he can now go upstairs as many times a day as he would like. Before it was 1 trip up and 1 down.
|
| Cons |
The install did not take long but it did take them along time to get around to it.
Almost 2 weeks.
|
|
I researched a lot of these stairlifts and they ranged anywhere from 1500. / to 8500.00, when the reason to increase the price sometimes made sense and others not really, our decision was perfect for our situation.

Spouse of user.
|
| Pros |
Functional, Quiet, Easy to use, Easy to Install, Safe
|
| Cons |
Passage - top of stairs
|
|
1) Installation required extra space on stair tread, and that was unexpected. 2) It would be beneficial to have the footrest swivel with the seat. That would aid passage in a narrow stair. 3) The unit is great for my spouse, the primary user. She has degenerative disk disease, and has difficulty climbing stairs. This stair lift unit makes it easy for her to move between floors of our home, and she can enjoy the entire house.

This is a wonderful product that helps me as one who can barely walk down my stairs. It is unbelievably easy to operate, and safe. My days have been immeasurably better since my stair lift has been installed. I can only praise your company for this wonderful apparatus. I am 81 years old and almost past going so THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Already had a similar unit in beach home. Bought this one for grown daughter with knee problems. Both have proven to be great aids for mobility issues.

Typical Homeowner
|
| Pros |
Safe, Functional, Easy to Install
|
| Cons | |
|
Extremely easy to install. If you are a "handy" type person, don't waste the money for a professional install. Watch the online videos provided by Summit and you will be fine. As far as the lift itself, it appears to be fine, however we have only had it for three weeks.
