There are several differences between infinite position lift chairs when compared with 2 or 3 position chairs. Infinite position chairs have two motors whereas 2 and 3 position chairs only have one. With 2 or 3 position chairs when you recline your foot rest will raise as well and the position of the footrest is not adjustable. The infinite position chair recline and footrest positions are independent of each other. The controller has two buttons instead on one like on the 2 or 3 position chairs; one for the back and one for the foot rest. This enables the consumer to adjust the recline angle and footrest to their individual preference. And, because these chairs recline fully, they can be used for sleeping.
