A Little About Myself

Pros

It would be a good product if they fixed the issue with the back brackets.

Cons

I paid extra to get what I thought was a good chair. In less than three years its lifetime warranty has cost me $1,600 in repair costs.

Service & Delivery

The technician that has come out is great. No complaints with him. The company he works for passes the buck. I think the company and Pride have a pretty good racket going here.
I just got off the phone with Pride. They said I would have to pay for the technician to come out and see what the problem is and then pay him to come back after he gets the parts to fix the chair. $175.00 x 2= $350.00 or pay $380.00 for the part because they need the technician to tell that’s what they need. Remember this is the fifth time this has been repaired. I know what the problem is. This chair is trash and the people at Pride don’t want to work with you it’s a money pit. This is also my second review and I noticed they removed all the bad ones including my first. And second that’s why I gave a four star maybe it will stay up.

Large Heavy Duty Electric Recliner

A Little About Myself

Pros

Largest, sturdiest chair around. Looks nice. Quiet electric movement.

Cons

Leg/Foot area do not extend flat and therefore do not lift legs even with body or higher. If it comes unplugged or power goes out, have yet to have batteries work for the control pad to get it down.

Service & Delivery

Excellent, better than expected. Brought straight to front porch which required bringing up a steep driveway and I thought I'd only get curbside delivery.
Second purchase of same chair. Wanted to have a manual chair as I don't need the lift but do need larger capacity and this is the best chair/price. I'm 5'8" and it fits me nicely. However, it feels like this chair does not lift the leg/feet up as high as last chair (same model). I feel like they are dangling downward a bit must which doesn't help with needing to elevate. I also generally put a pillow or something behind my back and neck to provide extra support as I'm a little short for the built in neck/head area support. If I recline back I feel like my head is pushing my chin to my neck. With support it provides a more comfortable position. I also require pillows under the arms as the seat is high in comparison to the arms and for sleeping in this chair I need support or arms will dangle and lose circulation.

A Little About Myself

Pros

Great quality, friendly salesman, speedy delivery, easy to assemble, great price

Cons

It took a while but Travis was still there to help me when it finally came time to make the purchase of a lift chair for my dad. He was very helpful with showing me the options and recommending a good fit for my dad who is a big guy. He also gave me an additional coupon for the chair which made it the cheapest I could find anywhere and believe me, I did my research. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and will be a returning customer if need be in the future.

Nice Chair

A Little About Myself

Heavy Set, One bad leg, Knee shot. 40 pound mass removed month ago!

Pros

Bought this chair because of the price and size. 2 position is okay, seeing you can stop anywhere and stay. Lifts plenty high to get out, I don't need the top position before I'm almost standing. Speed of the chair is good. My legs are well supported and it reclines far enough, that it looks like the swelling actually goes down. So far very happy with the chair.

Cons

Wish there were pockets on both sides. Also that the remote would have a little longer cord. I ordered mine in vinyl, royal blue, I think the color isn't true. So if your picky get a patch from them before buying. The color of mine worked out good.

Service & Delivery

Received it in just over a week. Wish there was a follow up email in between paying and delivery. Man put it by front door, was very nice. Shipped in one large box. If no help you may want to pay for putting in house.
I hope that it last a long time, workmanship looks good and it operates fine, but I've only had it a week.

Love my chair
Aug 10, 2011 8:51 AM

A Little About Myself

67 year-old chubby woman [I just like chubby -better than obese]

Pros

Extremely comfortable. I have had one just like this for years...wanted to have a "backup" in case my old one ever needed repair. I sleep in my liftchair and because of bad hips cannot sleep in bed. I tried another chair for 24 hours - same price but not the comfort! I sent it back and ordered my Pride.

Cons

I have the heavy duty Pride liftchair and it comes with only two positions...I would like a little more variety. But would not give up my Pride for another position or two!

Service & Delivery

Delivery was right on time--the set up went well--very pleasant, helpful service men.
I have recommended the Pride to two of my friends...and I would recommend it to anyone who wants comfort and quality. The Reviews were very helpful to me. The comments of people who have actually used the chair mean more than all the advertising in the world. I hope my review has been helpful to someone else.
